This grant has allowed the Wabash Valley Community Foundation to take more photos at our various events. So far, we have taken photos at the Vigo County Grant Award Ceremony, a check presentation by the American Legion Post 106, at the Spring Golf Tournament, in our office of our new interns and today of our new refrigerator that is being delivered thanks to another grant!

We like connecting and promoting the Community Foundation through Facebook and in our newsletters. This camera provides us the flexibility to have quality photos anytime!

Thanks to all of the donors who contributed to support this project!

The grant allowed us to purchase three carbon monoxide and smoke detector combination kits, two fire extinguishers for our kitchen/laundry area and four fire extinguishers for our upstairs and downstairs living areas.

Because of the platform created by the Wabash Valley Community Foundation and the generosity of the donors who chose our need, we were able to not just update but improve all of our existing fire equipment.

Amount Received: $185

The staff at McMillan Adult Day Service is thankful to the community for donating towards the purchase of the heavy duty upholstery cleaner they now use on the chairs and recliners used by clients at the center. With the daily (Monday through Friday) use of these chairs and recliners, there are often spills and spots that occur. This commercial grade cleaner is getting almost daily use. Staff members appreciate the ease of use and how deep it cleans. Thank you, Wabash Valley, for your help.

The Community Foundation is proud and excited to introduce a new platform to allow donors to learn about the needs in our community. Donors can search a variety of categories, organizations and individuals needing funds to provide important community services and programs.

The platform is a place to learn about community needs, read about projects that need funding, and how much money is needed. Examples might be a 3rd grade teacher wanting to give her students an art class, a local group providing education about homelessness, or an animal shelter needing food.

Learn about funding requests then add your donation to those from other generous donors. Whether you give $10 or $100, any size gift made through the community platform will impact the community. Rest assured that this platform is a safe, secure place where you can make your donation.

New funding requests will be added regularly and the success stories will multiply, so be sure to visit often. Thank you.for any amount you can donate. It will make a difference.
